Charleston Wedding Photographer | Gus and Haley

I was telling a friend recently how it’s crazy that until two or so years ago, I had never been to Charleston…and now I’ve been there 5 or 6 times for various shoots, conferences, and trips with Ryan and friends! It is by far one of the most charming places I’ve ever visited and is one of my favorite U.S. cities…I can’t get enough of the quaint architecture, welcoming front porches, mossy trees, or southern food…

So when Haley mentioned that it was where she and Gus were married and had lived for several years before moving north, I KNEW it was the perfect location for their Anniversary Celebration Session! And when she said it was important to her to capture the charm of the city…I immediately thought of the street where I had taken my good friends Amy and Jordan’s photos last year. That house in the first photo is quite possibly my favorite house in Charleston!

I met up with Haley and Gus on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon by the gazebo in the nearby park, and loved these two right away! They are the sweetest couple and by the end of our time together, I was wishing that they lived closer to Ryan and I so we could hang out all the time!

We ended our shoot at the most beautiful church ruins outside of the city and it was SO worth the drive. Such a stunning place to take photos! And Haley is absolutely gorgeous so basically my job was super easy.

I hope you enjoy my favorites from our afternoon in the South! Haley and Gus, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this sweet season in your marriage! Congratulations again!
