Excitement and anticipation filled the air as Deanna got ready with her girls at The Vintager Inn in New Kent, Virginia in a quaint, cottage style room…I could sense the pure joy that Deanna was feeling as she touched up her makeup and got into her dress with the help of her momma and bridesmaids…it was finally her wedding day!

We headed to the church for the ceremony and I knew it was going to be a beautiful service…Deanna’s dad is a pastor and married them, which made it feel so special! The whole day was so laid back and

One of my favorite things about this job is getting to know so many different couples…It’s so fun getting to hear their stories and see how they interact and relate…My goal is always to make couples feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera so that there engagement session really reflects their relationship and personalities! Lisa and Henry chose to have their session at Pocahontas State Park and it was so much fun to walk around together and to get to know them a little bit as a couple…I love how this session really feels like they were just going on a date to the park….

In most cases I get to meet my brides and grooms before their wedding day….I include an engagement session in all wedding packages because I think it’s usually really important for couple’s to get the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and with how I pose…but in Laura and Brian’s case our session got rained out multiple times and we ended up adding extra time to their wedding day instead of doing the engagement session…so I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but Laura and Brian were so natural in front of the camera and made my job so easy! Not only are they a gorgeous couple, but they were so

Every year since I can remember my family has gone to Bethany Beach…my grandparents bought a little beach cottage there back in the 70’s and it’s been a favorite vacation spot ever since. Ryan started going with my family every summer since high school…it’s actually where I thought he would propose! (He ended up proposing in the city that my dad grew up near in Germany at a castle, which was definitely better!)
But this place just feels like home in a way…My family has lived in a lot of different houses in the same area, so this is one place that has stayed consistent throughout my whole life!
