wedding – Brian and Jen

A few weekends ago I had the honor of second shooting this wedding with my friend and mentor Lauryn of Lauryn Galloway Photography. First I just have to say that I LOVE shooting with her…she is so on top of things, and I’ve loved getting to learn how she runs a wedding day in a way that ensures she captures every detail perfectly! Plus she’s so fun to spend time with..shooting with her never feels like work!

We pulled up to the Mill at Fine Creek in the early afternoon and I was so excited…this venue was actually one that Ryan and I considered for our own wedding! The place is GORGEOUS and full of charm…when we walked upstairs to meet Jen, I knew right away that this was going to be a good day, because she is absolutely beautiful and has such good taste! From the flowers she chose, to her dress, to the adorable centerpieces she put together – You just can’t ask for better as a photographer.

Thank you Lauryn for asking me to shoot with you! See her gorgeous portrayal of the day on her blog here.

And enjoy the day from my perspective!

While Lauryn was shooting the girls getting ready, I got to shoot the grooms details and the guys getting ready!

The groomsmen were so fun…they were all naturals in front of the camera and made my job so easy!

And then I headed outside with Lauryn to quickly snap some bridal portraits!

Jen looked so beautiful…

Then while Lauryn was capturing Jen reading a letter from Brian, I got to capture him reading a letter from his bride!

They had the prettiest florals I’ve ever seen…I LOVE Dahlias…Pritham Floral Design did an amazing job!!

Ceremony details!

While Lauryn was capturing the bride walking down the aisle, I got to capture the groom seeing her for the first time! This is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day…the emotion is just as awesome when the couple decides to do a first look!

Loved this ceremony location!!

MARRIED!!!

While Lauryn was shooting the girls, I was shooting the guys again!

Reception Details!!

Making their grand entrance to the reception!!

first dance…

Then we snuck out and got to take lots of pretty portraits as the sun was going down!

I loved this willow tree backdrop…

See what I mean?? Jen is so pretty!

Cutting the cake!

Brian’s best men gave a really funny and heartfelt toast…

lots of dancing!

And then they shared one last dance before the night ended…
