Virginia Wedding Photographer | Bo and Emily

When I first met Bo and Emily back in the Spring for their engagement session in Charlottesville, I remember being immediately drawn to their story! They grew up in the same area, went to the same high school, and both attended UVA at the same time, but never met until mutual friends introduced them while living in Washington DC after college! Emily mentioned how ironic it was that they could have been high school sweethearts…I love this story because I think everything happens at the perfect time for a reason and it seems crazy that they hadn’t met sooner!
After being friends for a while, they started dating and ended up deciding to attend graduate schools near each other in North Carolina. It was during these years in grad school that Bo proposed to Emily while they were back at their Alma Mater to attend a Football game!

In addition to all the gorgeous details that Emily thoughtfully put together (she has the best taste!!), my favorite part about finally getting to be a part of Emily and Bo’s wedding day was seeing all of their friends and family come together from their years in Roanoke, Charlottesville, Washington DC, and North Carolina…all the places they share in common! They hosted such a fun party and it was so clear that these two are extremely loved by their friends and family. Both Bo and Emily have the sweetest parents and it was so beautiful to see them beaming all night watching Bo and Emily celebrate their new marriage. I’m so honored that I got to be the one to capture it!

Bo and Emily, thank you so much for being so incredibly welcoming and genuine! I’m so grateful to know you both and am so excited for this next chapter for you two! Congratulations again! I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorites from the day…

Oh my word. That dress is so stunning. The whole wedding is gorgeous and perfectly captured but I am swooning over that dress. What a beautiful bride.

Wow, these are so gorgeous! I love the bride’s dress, especially the lace overlay. So classically beautiful. I also love the bridesmaid dresses & the flowers. And of course all the gorgeous Fall colors. Great job!
