When Allison suggested that we take their engagement pictures at her grandparents lake house that the two of them go to every summer to spend time with family and friends, I loved the idea right away! It’s always extra special when you get to shoot in a place that has meaning to a couple….I pulled up to the house on a Friday evening and Allison greeted me at the door and then introduced me to her fiance, Jack. They are the most adorable couple and I love the way they interacted with one another…I knew we were going to have a fun session despite how hot it was! And I love the way these turned

You might’ve clicked this link because the title sounds weird…Channeling Jackie O and a Journey to Self Discovery…It sounds random and sort of silly I know, but if you bare with me hopefully it will make sense as you go! This post has been a long time coming…It’s about coming into my own as a photographer and figuring out what works for me as a business owner…

This year has been crazy for me to say the least..it’s been a huge year of growth and learning and I’m so thankful for it…I’m half way through my first full wedding season

I love engagement sessions because it provides a time for me to get to know a couple a little better before their wedding day…It’s a great warm up for the wedding day because we dont have a strict timeline to follow and I can learn a little more about a couple and their story because I’m able to talk and ask questions in between portrait spots! Jonathan is a teacher and Annie is about to start her first year of teaching right after they get married in August…That’s a lot of change coming at once, but Annie is super organized and on top of things so I know she’s going to thrive in this next stage of life! Jonathan is so

Okay I know it’s Thursday, but this is a good one and I didn’t want to wait until next week to post it! The getting ready portion of the day is probably my favorite part of a wedding day. Portrait time with the bride and groom is a close second…but there’s something so magical about the beginning of the day when emotions are running high and the bride is looking forward to that moment that she get’s to see her soon to be husband!! I love walking into the room and feeling the excitement in the air! I love watching the joy on the mother of the bride’s face as she helps her daughter get into her dress
