I met Jessica and Andrew in the heart of DC for their engagement session and what started out as a sunny afternoon turned into a very cloudy and windy evening…you could feel a storm rolling in as we got close to the end of the session, but it was so fun getting to shoot in different lighting situations all in one session and I love how the colors in the last few turned out! Andrew and Jessica are getting married in Richmond, but live near DC right now so it was fun getting to document a part of their story in the area where they live right now…
One of my favorite parts about engagement sessions is getting to

The forecast that day was not looking good..it was supposed to storm all day in Baltimore…it poured on my drive up but I just kept praying it would go away! Amy coaches a volleyball team and this was one of the only dates that would work for her to do their engagement session as she heads into a busy fall season! So we went for it and I’m so glad we did because I arrived and the weather was perfect for shooting on the water…it was a little hazy, but I love the way the colors look! Amy and Michael met through a grad school course they were both taking at Towson University…They were

When Allison suggested that we take their engagement pictures at her grandparents lake house that the two of them go to every summer to spend time with family and friends, I loved the idea right away! It’s always extra special when you get to shoot in a place that has meaning to a couple….I pulled up to the house on a Friday evening and Allison greeted me at the door and then introduced me to her fiance, Jack. They are the most adorable couple and I love the way they interacted with one another…I knew we were going to have a fun session despite how hot it was! And I love the way these turned

I love engagement sessions because it provides a time for me to get to know a couple a little better before their wedding day…It’s a great warm up for the wedding day because we dont have a strict timeline to follow and I can learn a little more about a couple and their story because I’m able to talk and ask questions in between portrait spots! Jonathan is a teacher and Annie is about to start her first year of teaching right after they get married in August…That’s a lot of change coming at once, but Annie is super organized and on top of things so I know she’s going to thrive in this next stage of life! Jonathan is so
