I met Jessica and Andrew in the heart of DC for their engagement session and what started out as a sunny afternoon turned into a very cloudy and windy evening…you could feel a storm rolling in as we got close to the end of the session, but it was so fun getting to shoot in different lighting situations all in one session and I love how the colors in the last few turned out! When Allison suggested that we take their engagement pictures at her grandparents lake house that the two of them go to every summer to spend time with family and friends, I loved the idea right away! I love engagement sessions because it provides a time for me to get to know a couple a little better before their wedding day…It’s a great warm up for the wedding day because we dont have a strict timeline to follow and I can learn a little more about a couple and their story because I’m able to talk and ask questions in between portrait spots!
