If I could write a letter to me and send it back in time to myself at 17 (I know this is starting to sound like a country song, but bear with me…), I’d tell myself to really enjoy the moment and embrace life where I was…I remember being anxious to get out of high school so that I could start working towards my dreams…and I also remember feeling really insecure…like I was never quite good enough…and I just wasnt really sure of who I was. I’d tell myself to rest in the fact that you are enough and that God has a perfect plan for your life…
And then I’d also tell myself to be more like Carrie Logan. Caronline is

It was a super (SUPER) windy day and as I started walking around Colonial Williamsburg with Zach and Lindsay and their adorable pup Lucy, I just kept praying that the rain would hold off!! We had been looking forward to their session for months and I would have been so sad if the forecasted thunderstorms ruined our fun…well it never really rained, but we did end up getting caught in the middle of a crazy WIND storm! We survived though and I think getting these pictures made it worth it :)
I was so excited to meet Lindsay and Zach, because 1. Lindsay is also a photographer in the area, and

A couple of weeks ago I got to visit my sister, Angelika, at college…she goes to JMU and lives in a house with something like 10 other girls..or maybe 12? Either way, it’s A LOT of girls…and she’s loving it…the last time I had visited her was when she was a freshman and still living in the dorms! It’s so crazy how fast time goes by!! My sister is one of my best friends and it has been such a cool thing watching her grow up into the amazing woman that she is today..I’m so proud of her and the direction she’s heading in with her life! It’s so funny to look back on our lives growing up together…

This past weekend was packed full of so many good things…It was officially my last “free” weekend before the busyness of wedding season commences next weekend, but it was so full of fun and sweet moments that I can’t hardly complain that it wasn’t super restful…Most of it was spent with Ryan and Lexie (Sidenote: We taught Lexie how to ring a bell on the door to alert us when she needs to go outside to use the bathroom…well she is TOO smart for us humans and just rings it whenever she’s bored and wants to play outside…Ryan likes to say that she’s thinking: “Good humans! I almost have you trained to do exactly what I want!” Oy. We might be rethinking the whole bell idea).
